CHAPTER 23.
An act entitled, an act relating to the Sheriff of Baltimore
County.
|

Same fees, &c.
allowed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Sheriff of Baltimore county be al-
lowed the same fees and per diem allowance for his at-
tendance in person or by deputy on Baltimore county
court at its term for the transaction of county business
as are now allowed by law to the Sheriff of Baltimore
city for his attendance on said court at its term for the
transaction of city business, and that the Commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorised
and directed to levy the same in their annual assessment
for the expenses of Baltimore county including his at-
tendance at the November term, eighteen hundred and
forty-five of said court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county be and they are hereby au-
thorised and directed to levy in favor or the Sheriff of
Baltimore county all fees for services rendered by him
as such Sheriff chargeable to said county in the same
manner and to the same extent as the said Commissioners
have heretofore levied for similar services performed by
the Sheriff of Baltimore city and county, prior to the
passage of the act of eighteen hundred and forty-two,
chapter two hundred and forty-six, and to collect the
said fees when so levied, and pay over the same to the
Sheriff of Baltimore county for the time being.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
he in force immediately from and after its passage.

An act supplementary to an act entitled, an additional sup-
plement to the act entitled, an act for the speedy recove-
ry of small debts out of Court, and to repeal the acts of
Assembly therein mentioned, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter two hundred
and ninety.
