LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 182.

whereas, the said Thomas Wilson by a bill of sale, dated
the ninth day of January, in the year eighteen hundred
and forty-six, did sell and dispose of, to a certain Lewis
H. Brown of Carroll county, in the State of Maryland,
his executors, administrators and assigns, the aforesaid
negro man, called Philip Cypress, for the same term of
years as aforesaid; and whereas, all the aforesaid bills
of sale appears to have been duly recorded amongst the
records of Baltimore county court in the State of Mary-
land, and that the said purchasers have not signed and
sealed said bills of sale as required by the act of assem-
bly in such cases made and provided, and it requires
some legislative action to make said bills of sale good
and effectual in law — now therefore,

Made valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deeds or bills of sale as aforesaid be and the
same are hereby declared to be valid and effectual to all
intents and purposes as if the same had been duly signed
and sealed by the purchasers as aforesaid, and as if in
respect of such signing and sealing or execution of said
deeds or bills of sale the said purchasers had as required
bylaw as aforesaid duly acknowledged said deeds or
bills of sale.

CHAPTER 162.

An act to authorise Jacob Flook, of John, and Henry
Smeltzer, Sen. of Frederick County, to sell a certain
School House in Primary School District Number
Eleven, designated as Lawrence Everhart District, in
Frederick County.

To convey.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Jacob Flook of John, and Henry Smelt-
zer, Sen., be and they are hereby authorised and empow-
ered to sell and convey a school house in primary school
district Number eleven in Frederick county, known as
Laurence Everhart District, said school house standing
near the dwelling of Benjamin Roderick to pay the pro-
ceeds, as soon as collected, over to the trustees of said
primary school district, for the use of the primary school
in said district.

Authorised to

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Jacob
Flook, of John, and Henry Smeltzer, Sen., be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, to sell the said
