1845.

CHAPTER 172.

An act to authorise Thomas M. D. Baden, former Col-
lector of Prince George's County, further time to com-
plete his collections.

CHAP. 173.

Passed Feb.
28, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas M. D. Baden, former collec-
tor of Prince George's county, be and he is hereby au-
thorised and empowered to collect any tax or balances of
taxes, now remaining due and uncollected by him, in the
same manner as he could, or might have done within the
time limited by law.

Time allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this law shall not be
in force longer than one year from the passage thereof.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas M.
D. Baden, before he proceeds to execute the property of
any person by the authority of this act, shall deliver or
cause to be delivered to the person or persons chargeable
with the same, and at least ten days before he shall pro-
ceed to execute as aforesaid, a particular account of the
sum demanded of him, her or them, with an affidavit
thereto annexed, that he hath not, nor hath any person
acting under him, whilst collector as aforesaid, or since
then, received any part thereof or satisfaction for the

same, to the best of his knowledge and belief; provided,
that nothing in this act contained, shall be so construed
to affect the estate of a deceased person, except to au-
thorise the said Thomas M. D. Baden to recover any
claim or balance due by a deceased person, in the same
manner that claims against deceased persons are now re-
covered by law.

CHAPTER 173.

Proviso.

An act to make valid the acknowledgment of a deed from

David Ansherman, John Ansherman, Julia Slifer
and William Slifer, to Henry Ansherman.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the acknowledgment of the deed from
David Ansherman, John Ansherman, Julia Slifer and
William Slifer to Henry Ansherman, which said deed
was recorded on the nineteenth day of May, in the year
