1845.

pleasure; and to make, alter and amend rules and by-
laws, consistent with the provisions of this charter, for
the management of their affairs, the conduct of their
school and the perpetuation of their body.

CHAP. 127.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this charter shall con-
tinue and be in force for the term of thirty years from
the enacting hereof, unless sooner repealed; and the
power to repeal this act is hereby expressly reserved to

vided however, that upon the expiration of this charter by
repeal or otherwise, the trustees for the time being, shall
have full power and authority to dispose of the property
then belonging to said corporation.

Proviso.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall
be so construed as to authorise the said corporation to
issue any note, token, scrip, device or other evidence of
debt, to be used as a currency.

CHAPTER 127.

Issues forbid.

A supplement to an act entitled an act for the incorpora-
tion of Jefferson Lodge, Number Nine, of the Order
of Independent Odd Fellows.

13, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the name, style and title of Jefferson Lodge, Number Nine,
of the Order of Independent Odd Fellows be changed,
so that hereafter the said Lodge shall be known by the

Maryland; and by that name may sue and be sued, and
have a common seal, and the same at their pleasure alter,
and be entitled to use all powers and privileges incident
to such corporations.

nal act of incorporation as conies in conflict with this act,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
