CHAP. 126.

shall have been obtained for such debts; and all such
lands, tenements and hereditaments, so taken in satifac-
tion for debts, or purchased at sale upon judgments, shall
be re-sold and conveyed by the said, president and di-
rectors within the term of five years from the taking or
purchase thereof, as aforesaid.

Proviso.

SEC. 20. And be it enacted, That in suits by or against
said company, no member of the corporation shall on
that account, be incompetent as a witness; provided, he
be not, in his individual capacity, a party to such suit or
suits.

SEC. 21. And be it enacted, That said corporation is
hereby prohibited from issuing any note, certificate, de--
vice, or evidence of debt, to be used as currency.

SEC. 22. And be it enacted, That this act shall en-
dure for thirty years from the date of its passage, and
that the legislature reserves to itself the right to amend
or repeal this act of incorporation at pleasure.

An act to incorporate the Trustees of Saint Patrick's
School, Fell's Point, in the City of Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Most Reverend Samuel Eccleston,
the Reverend James Dolan, William Henderson, Richard
McDonald and Peter Foy, and their successors, be and they

are hereby created a body corporate by the name and style
of the Trustees of Saint Patrick's School, Fell's Point,
in the city of Baltimore, and by that name shall be able

tinuance of this act, to fill up and supply any vacancies
which may occur in their number; and to have, receive
and take the house and lot on Market street, Fell's Point,
now known as Saint Patrick's School House, from the
owners or proprietors thereof, by deed or otherwise, and
to purchase and take by deed, gift, devise or otherwise,
any estate or property, not exceeding in the whole the
annual value of three thousand dollars, and to apply the
same to the use of the said school, and towards its sup-
