CHAP. 133.

Adjutant Ge-
neral to per-
form the duties

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the duties heretofore re-
quired and performed by the Armorer at Annapolis, shall
be performed by the Adjutant General, without further
compensation for this additional duty.

 

CHAPTER 132.

Passed Feb
26, 1845.

An act to establish a Divisional line between district school
number one, in the lower election district of Caroline
County, and Federalsburg Academy,

Divisional line

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the North West Fork of the Nanticoke river, shall be the
divisional line between district school number one, of
said county, and the Federalsburg academy, so far as re-
lates to the charity children.

Children on
the east side of
river, go to
school No. 1.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of the charity school fund, in the lower election district of
Caroline county, are required by this law, to send the
charity children on the east side of said river as far up
as are practicable, to district school number one, and the
charity children on the west side as far as are convenient
to the Federalsburg academy.

power, &c.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, Provided, that either of
the above named schools, shall at any any time fail to
be kept up or in operation, then and in that case the com-
missioners shall have full power to send the charity chil-
dren to the school in operation, from within the limits of
the school suspended for the time being, any law usage
or custom to the contrary notwithstanding.

 

CHAPTER 133.

An act to authorise Lemuel Clemments, Trustee, of Henry
Lilly, late Sheriff and Collector of Montgomery County,
to complete his collections.

Authorised to
collect.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, that Lemuel
Clemments, trustee of Henry Lilly, late sheriff and collec-
tor of Montgomery county, be and he is hereby empower-
ed to collect all fees, taxes and levies, in the same manner
