An act to allow William Rose, former Collector of taxes
in Talbot County, further time to complete his collec-
tions.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William Rose former collector of taxes
in Talbot county, be and he is hereby authorised to col-
lect any and all taxes or balances of taxes due him, and
now remaining uncollected for the several years in which
he was collector of the taxes in said county in the same
manner, and with the same privileges and powers, he
could or might have done within the time limited by law.
Sec 2. And be it enacted, That the said William Rose
before he proceeds to collect under and by virtue of this
act, shall make out and deliver to the person or persons
from whom any taxes or balances of taxes may be de-
manded, an account of the taxes or balances, due from
such person or persons, and if the amount claimed be dis-

puted by the party, shall annex an affidavit, that the same
is due and unpaid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the authority hereby
given shall continue until the first day of January, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-seven.

CHAPTER 69.
|

An act to change the place of holding the elections in the
third election district of Howard District, and to alter
the bounds thereof.
|

4, 1845.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the place of holding all future elections
in the third election district of Howard District, be at the
house now occupied by Israel McKenzie in said election
district.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the divisional line
between the said third and fourth election districts of said
Howard District, be and the same is hereby established
as follows, to wit: From the entrance of General Hood's
lane on the Frederick turnpike road, with and bounding
on the road leading to Hobb's mill to the south termina-
tion of the lane between Perry G. Hobb's and Robert
Hobbs, thence with a straight line to William Wesley
