CHAP. 67.

lector of Talbot county, for the year eighteen hundred
and forty-three, to complete his collections, be and is
hereby extended until the first day of April, eighteen. hun-
dred and forty-seven.

 

CHAPTER 66.

An act for the relief of the heirs of the late William
Brown, of Carroll County.

Authorised to
sell.

Proviso.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Ann H Brown, mother and guardian of the children
of the late William Brown, of Carroll county, be and she
is hereby authorised to sell for the best price that can be
obtained, the lots assigned to William A. J. Brown de-
ceased, Benjamin F. Brown, Susannah D. Brown and
Ann V. Brown, and distribute and invest the proceeds of
these sales for the benefit of said children, as the Orphan's

court of Carroll may direct, Provided, before such
sales shall be made, the said guardian execute a bond
with surety to be approved by the court aforesaid, for the
faithful execution of her trust.

 

CHAPTER 67.

10, 1845.

An act to allow Edward Collinson, further time to com-
plete his collections.

Time allowed.

Make affida-
vit-

In force one
year.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Edward Collinson, collector of county
taxes and late collector of State taxes, for the first collec-
tion district of Anne Arundel county, be and he is hereby
authorised and empowered to collect any taxes or balances
of taxes now remaining due and uncollected by him in the
district aforesaid, in the same manner and with the same
power and privileges as ate now allowed by the existing
laws in such cases made and provided.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Edward Collin-
son, shall in all cases before he proceeds to collect said
taxes, make affidavit before a justice of the peace of Anne
Arundel county, that the said taxes are due and that he
has not received the same nor any part thereof, other than
the credit given.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this law shall be in
force one year ana no longer.
