and the Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to pay
upon the orders of the Executive, any sums not exceed-
ing that amount out of any unappropriated money in the
Treasury.

Resolution in favor of the Chaplains of the two Houses.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer pay to the Rev. Mr. Van Dusen, chaplain
to the Senate, and to the Rev. Mr. Steele, chaplain to the
House of Delegates, each the sum of one hundred dollars,
out of any unappropriated money in the Treasury, as a
remuneration for their services during the present session
of the Legislature.

Resolution directing the State Librarian, to transmit to
the Secretary of State of the United States, certain co-
pies of the acts of Assembly.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Librarian be authorised and directed to transmit to
the Department of State of the United States, one copy
of the acts of Assembly of this State, passed since the
year eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, up to, and inclu-
ding the acts which may be passed at this present session.

Resolution in favor of Margaret Staples.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State pay out of any unappropria-
ted money in the Treasury, to Margaret Staples, the wi-
dow of John Staples, a soldier in the Revolution, in quar-
terly payments, the half pay of a sergeant, in considera-
tion of her husband's services in the war of the Revolu-
tion.
