Resolution relative to the Distribution of Eight Hundred
Dollars, allowed annually to Colleges and Academies,
in Baltimore County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the resolution passed on the third day of February, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-five, for the distribution of the eight
hundred dollars annually allowed Baltimore county for
colleges and academies, be construed to be in force and
take effect from and after the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and forty-five, and that the Treasurer of the
Western Shore is hereby required forth with, to pay over
the said eight hundred dollars to the academies therein
named.

Resolution in relation to the State Wharfinger;
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Wharfinger cause the water in front of the State
Tobacco Warehouse in the city of Baltimore, numbered
three, to be deepened, so as to float vessels of the draft
usually landing at the said wharf. and that he be authorised
to apply for that purpose the necessary amount of money
arising from wharfages in said city, not exceeding the sum
of one hundred and twenty-five dollars.

Resolutions nominating Directors in the Baltimore & Ohio
Rail Road Company.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Joseph J. Speed, Charles S. Ridgeley, George Brown,
Hugh Birckhead, James Sykes, John Spear Nicholas,
William Cooke, Isaac Munroe, Elias T. Griffin, Benjamin
DeFord, be and they are hereby appointed directors on
the part of this State in the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road
Company.
Resolved, That the president of the Senate and Speaker
of the House of Delegates, address a joint letter to each of
the above named gentlemen, informing them respectively of
their appointment.
