CHAPTER 153.

Passed March
1, 1845.

A supplement to an act entitled an act to establish a Bank
and incorporate a Company to be styled, the Bank of
Westminster.

Notice of elec-
tion to be pub-
lished.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the notice of the election of the president and directors of
the bank of Westminster, required by the act to which this
is a supplement, and the notice of the dividends of the pro-
fits of the company required by the said act, shall be given
in one or more newspapers printed in Westminster, Car-
roll county, and so much of the act to which this is a sup-
plement as requires the said notices to be published in
newspapers published in Frederick county and the city of
Baltimore, be and the same is hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER 154

An act for the relief of John Rutter, of Frederick County.

Pardon" grant-
ed by the Go-
vernor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That John Rutter, of Frederick county, be and he is here-
by released from the condition and obligation, to leave the
State of Maryland, in virtue of a pardon granted by the
Executive of the State from the penalty of a conviction in
Washington county, for assault and battery, and he is
hereby restored to all the rights of citizenship of said State.

 

CHAPTER 155.

3, 1845.

An act for the relief of Rachael Lee, of Harford County.

Commission-
ers authorised
to levy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Harford county, be and they
hereby authorised, in their discretion, to levy annually
upon the assessable properly of Harford county, a sum of
money not exceeding thirty dollars, to be paid to Samuel
Lee for the use and maintenance of said Rachael Lee.
