persons voting on any of said questions, respectively, shall
vote in favor of any or all of said questions, respectively,
then this Act or such Sections thereof that have been voted
on as aforesaid shall be immediately of full force and
effect; but, if a majority of the persons voting on any of
said questions, respectively, shall vote against any or all
of said questions, respectively, then this Act or such Sec-
tions thereof that have been voted on as aforesaid shall be
void and of no effect whatsoever.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 138)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County, " said new section to be known as
Section 508A, to follow immediately after Section 508
thereof and to be under the sub-title "Hancock, " author-
izing the Burgess and Commissioners of the town of
Hancock to acquire land for general use in relation to
garbage and sewage disposal purposes and relating gen-
erally to the procedure to be followed for such acquisition.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Washington County, " said new section to
be known as Section 508A, to follow immediately after
Section 508 thereof and to be under the sub-title "Hancock, "
and to read as follows:
