President and Commissioners in a book kept for that pur-
pose, which shall be open at all times for inspection of any
person interested and he shall see that copies of all ordi-
nances are posted in at least five public places in said town
within ten days after the passage thereof.

108. The President and Commissioners of Chesapeake
City may at any time provide by ordinance for the codifica-
tion or recodification of such ordinances as have been
passed by them or may hereafter be passed by them, and
for the printing of such codification or recodification
thereof, and the printed copy of any ordinance or codifica-
tion issued by authority and under the sanction of The
President and Commissioners of Chesapeake City shall be
legal evidence of the passage of the said ordinance and the
contents thereof in any court of law or equity in this State.

109. The President and Commissioners of Chesapeake
City shall annually cause to be made up, printed and dis-
tributed among the citizens of the Town of Chesapeake
City a detailed financial statement of the town's affairs,
showing the financial resources of the town and the exist-
ing liabilities, as well as the income for the previous year
and the expenditures during the same, which statement
shall be made up and distributed not later than the month
of October of each year.

110. Before The President and Commissioners of Chesa-
peake City shall be liable for damages of any kind the
person injured or someone in his behalf shall give the
President or the Town Clerk of Chesapeake City notice in
writing of such injury within thirty days after the same
has been received, stating specifically in said notice when,
where and how the injury occurred and the extent thereof.
The President and Commissioners of Chesapeake City shall
never be liable on account of any damage or injury to per-
son or property arising from or occasioned by any public
street, highway or grounds, including accumulations of
snow and ice on any public work of the city unless the
specific defect or the accumulation of snow and ice causing
the damage or injury shall have been actually known to
the President or the Superintendent of Streets by per-
sonal inspection for a period of at least twenty-four hours
prior to the occurrence of the injury or damage and proper
diligence has not been used to rectify the defect or cause,
such as accumulations of snow or ice, to be removed after
actually known or called to the attention of the President
or Superintendent of Streets as aforesaid.
