thereupon without unnecessary delay, transmit to the said
Court a record of the proceedings of The President and
Commissioners in said matter. In said Court the party
appellant shall be entitled to a jury trial to assess the
amount to be paid by him, and the amount so assessed shall
stand in the place and stead of the amount of the assess-
ment made by The President and Commissioners of Chesa-
peake City.

104. Whenever in the opinion of The President and
Commissioners of Chesapeake City it is necessary or desir-
able to divide the town into two separate and independent
voting districts or wards, they may by ordinance so pro-
vide, and thereafter, the provisions herein as to the regis-
tration of voters and conduct of elections shall apply to
each of said voting districts or wards, and the provisions
herein as to the appointments^ and number of officers of
registration and election officials, and their respective
duties shall apply to each such district or ward as a separ-
ate unit.

105. The President and Commissioners of Chesapeake
City for the purpose of promoting health, safety, morals or
the general welfare of the town and its citizens, be and they
are hereby authorized by general ordinance to regulate and
restrict the height, number and stories of buildings and
other structures; the size of yards, courts and other open
spaces, the kind of construction and the location and use of
buildings, and structures for trade, industry, residence and
for other purposes.

106. The President and Commissioners of Chesapeake
City shall have power and authority to make such reason-
able traffic regulations in respect to motor vehicles on the
streets, lanes and alleys of the Town of Chesapeake City
as are not prohibited to them by the Laws of the State of
Maryland, and in particular shall have power to make
reasonable parking regulations respecting said motor ve-
hicles thereon. They shall likewise have power and au-
thority to establish, own and operate parking lots or other
necessary equipment in connection therewith located within
its corporate limits^ and in connection therewith shall have
power and authority to make reasonable charges for the
use and occupancy of the same, and to make such rules
and regulations pertaining thereto as they may consider
proper and necessary.

107. The Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Chesapeake
City shall enter all ordinances and orders passed by the
