Service Commission", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(f). The term of the People's Counsel shall expire on
June 1, 1949, and on said date the Governor is authorized
to appoint an experienced and qualified attorney-at-law of
this State, to be known as People's Counsel, who shall hold
office during the pleasure of the Governor and who shall
receive an annual salary [of Fifty-five Hundred Dollars
($5, 500)] as provided in the Budget.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 474
(Senate Bill 586)

AN ACT to provide for the definite establishment of the
boundary line between Montgomery and Prince George's
Counties.

WHEREAS, there is considerable doubt as to the exact
location of the boundary line between Montgomery and
Prince George's Counties; and

WHEREAS, monuments formerly placed along this line
have disappeared or become lost so that it is not possible
to determine said boundary as it was formerly located; and

WHEREAS, many persons presently living in the vicinity
of said line are greatly inconvenienced by reason of the
fact that there is no clear demarkation of said line; and

WHEREAS, said persons are under great difficulty in
determining the county in which they reside for voting,
tax and other purposes; now therefore
