Laws of Maryland (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Carroll
County", sub-title "Union Bridge", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
464. The said [Town Council] Mayor and Common
Council of Union Bridge [shall from time to time cause an
assessment to be made of all the property, real, personal
or otherwise, and securities liable to State and County
taxes] is hereby authorized to levy, for general municipal
purposes, [by two assessors appointed by them, and levy
thereon] a tax not exceeding in any one year [fifty cents
(50 cents)] seventy-five cents (75 cents) on every one
hundred dollars worth of assessable property, [for general
purposes] real, personal or otherwise, within the corporate
limits of the Town of Union Bridge. [They shall also, in
the month of October of each year, appoint two assessors
to assess any property in said town liable to taxation, and
which has been omitted from the assessment books of said
town, and all property brought into said town from time
to time and becoming liable to taxation. ]
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (f) of Section 4 of Article 78 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Public Service
Commission", providing that the salary of the People's
Counsel to the Public Service Commission shall be as
provided in the Budget.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
