$500. 00, and such other compensation as the County Com-
missioners shall determine when it is the duty of said
Sheriff to perform official functions outside of the State
of Maryland. He shall appoint one Deputy Sheriff and
may appoint such additional Deputy Sheriffs as the County
Commissioners of said County may approve, who shall be
paid such compensation as the said County Commissioners
shall determine. The Sheriff and Deputy Sheriffs shall
receive such sums as said County Commissioners may
prescribe and allow for the use of their respective automo-
biles and all necessary traveling expenses in the perform-
ance of their duties. The Sheriff of Queen Anne's County
and the Deputy Sheriffs of said County are authorized,
directed and required to serve all civil and criminal process
issued by the Trial Magistrate for Queen Anne's County.
The Sheriff of Queen Anne's County shall designate and
assign one Deputy Sheriff to serve the Trial Magistrate
for Queen Anne's County in lieu of a Constable-at-Large,
and said Deputy Sheriff so assigned shall receive an annual
salary of $1, 500. 00 and an expense account of $500. 00
annually.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal Section 265 of Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Justices of the Peace
and Constables", as amended by Chapter 648 of the Acts
of 1945 relating to the fees of Constables in Queen
Anne's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 265 of Article 18 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Queen Anne's County",
