new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (g-b) and
to follow immediately after Sub-section (g-a) of said
section, providing that the State's Attorney of Carroll
County shall receive an annual salary of $4, 250. 00.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (g) of Section 40 of Article 10 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "At-
torneys at Law and Attorneys In Fact, " sub-title "State's
Attorney, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, and that a new sub-section be and it is
hereby added to said section, said new sub-section to be
known as Sub-section (g-b) and to follow immediately
after Sub-section (g-a) of said section and all to read as
follows:
40.
(g) The State's Attorneys of [Carroll, ] Dorchester and
Frederick Counties shall each receive an annual salary of
$3, 600.
(g-b) The State's Attorney of Carroll County shall re-
ceive an annual salary of $4, 250.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

Wills', said section having been amended by Chapter 573
of the Acts of 1951, providing for an expense account
for the Appraiser and Deputy Appraiser of the Orphans'
