Court of Baltimore County and providing that where an
Appraisal is filed in a form not acceptable to the
Orphans' Court, the Chief Appraiser shall file the ap-
praisal in its proper form and render an invoice to the
executor or administrator covering the expenses for such
service.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 234 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (1948 Edition), being Article 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore
County", sub-title "Orphans' Court and Register of Wills",
said section having been amended by Chapter 573 of the
Acts of 1951, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

234. (a) On granting letters testamentary or of ad-
ministration or of collection by the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore County, a warrant or warrants shall issue under
the seal of office authorizing two persons of discretion,
both of whom shall be selected by the court and neither of
whom shall be related to the deceased nor interested in the
administration, to appraise the goods, chattels and personal
estate of the deceased known to them or to be shown by
the executor, administrator or collector. One of said per-
sons shall be named the Appraiser, at an annual salary of
six thousand dollars, and the other shall be named the
Deputy Appraiser, at an annual salary of three thousand
five hundred dollars [. ] and both the Appraiser and the
Deputy Appraiser shall receive a monthly expense account
of Fifty Dollars ($50. 00).
Such salaries shall be in lieu of
any and all other compensation for their duties as such.
The Register of Wills of Baltimore County is hereby
authorized and directed to enact a schedule of fees to be
charged for the appraisal of the decedent's estates for the
purpose of defraying the salaries hereinbefore established.

(b). When the Executor or Administrator of any estate
filed in the Orphans' Court of Baltimore County fails to
have typed in proper form the items included in said
estates (both Real and Personal Items), and the Chief
Appraiser is compelled to perform this service, said Chief
Appraiser shall charge for said service at the rate of one
dollar per page, or part thereof, and render an invoice to
said Executors or Administrators covering said expense
for said service, and the amount so charged shall be paid
by said Executors or Administrators to said Chief Ap-
praiser, and charge such item as an expense to the estate.
