SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 209A and 209B of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County", sub-title "Elkton", sub-heading "Water", be and
they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

Approved March 9, 1953.


CHAPTER 43
(Senate Bill 86)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
154 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title "Ceme-
tery Companies", relating to the size of the tract of land
which may be purchased, held or used by cemetery
companies in Frederick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 154 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title
"Cemetery Companies", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

154. No cemetery company formed under the provisions
of this Article shall be authorized or empowered to pur-
chase, hold or use, for the purpose of burial, more than
one hundred acres of land or any ground that shall be
comprised within the limits of any city or town in this
State, unless the corporate authorities of said city or town
shall authorize the same. Provided, however, that in
Spauldings Election District in Prince George's County
any such company is hereby authorized and empowered to
purchase, hold, or use up to, but not in excess of, one
hundred and twenty-five acres of land in one tract for such
purpose. Provided, further, that in Frederick County, any
such company is authorized and empowered to purchase,
