tated Code, thereby making unnecessary Sections 221-228,
inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County;
now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 221-228, inclusive, of Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County", sub-title "Jurors", be and they are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

Approved March 9, 1953.


CHAPTER 42
(Senate Bill 85)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 209A and 209B of Article 8
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Cecil County", sub-title "Elkton", sub-
heading "Water", said sections relating to a water plant
and an electric plant for the Town of Elkton and both
being obsolete.

WHEREAS, Section 209A of the local laws of Cecil County
concerns the issue of bonds for a. water plant and also the
erection and operation of a water plant and water supply
system for the Town of Elkton; and

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are obsolete so
far as the bond issue is concerned and the powers con-
tained therein as to the establishment and operation of a
water system are adequately covered in Section 209 of the
local laws of Cecil County; and

WHEREAS, Section 209B concerns the issue of bonds for
an electric light plant and also the operation of a municipal
electric light plant; and

WHEREAS, the provisions of this latter section are obso-
lete because the electricity in the Town of Elkton is sup-
plied by a public utility; now therefore
