salary of the Clerk and Attorney of the Board of Super-
visors of Elections of Wicomico County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Elec-
tion Officials", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

3. (a) Each Supervisor of Elections appointed under
Section 1 (a) or Section 1 (c) of this Article shall receive
an annual salary as follows: In Allegany County, $900;
in Anne Arundel County, $800; in Baltimore City, $3, 190
until January 1, 1950, and thereafter $5, 000: in Baltimore
County, $1, 800; in Calvert County, $200; in Caroline
County, $300; in Carroll County, $400; in Cecil County,
$300; in Charles County, $250; in Dorchester County,
$400; in Frederick County, $480; in Garrett County,
$300; in Harford County, $400; in Howard County, $400;
in Kent County, $400; in Montgomery County, $1, 200; in
Prince George's County, $1, 000; in Queen Anne's County,
$300; in St. Mary's County, $250; in Somerset County,
$300; in Talbot County, $250; in Washington County,
$600; in Wicomico County, [$400] $800; $600 in Wor-
cester County, $300.

(b) Such salaries and any other expenses incurred by
said Supervisors under this Article, shall be paid by the
County Commissioners of their respective counties or by
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City, as the case
may be, in such installments as the said County Commis-
sioners or Mayor and City Council may prescribe, and
they shall receive no other fees or compensation, except
as hereinafter provided. Each substitute supervisor
appointed under Section 1 (b) of this Article shall receive
a per diem compensation of not less than Ten Dollars
($10) per day for each day actually served by him, to
be fixed by the County Commissioners of the respective
counties or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City,
as the case may be.

(c) In Wicomico County the Clerk of the Board of
Supervisors of Elections provided for in this Article shall
receive an annual salary of [$400] $800, $600, and the said
Supervisors of Elections shall have the power to employ
an attorney, who shall be a member of the Bar of Wicomico
County and who shall also be the attorney for the Judges
of Elections, and such attorney shall receive an annual
salary of [$400] $800; $600; the salaries of said Clerk and
