Sub-section (c) of said section, to follow immediately after
Sub-section (b) of said section, and to read as follows:
5.
(c) In Charles County, if in any year the said payments
to the Court Library of one-half the fines imposed and
recognizances forfeited is less than Six Hundred Dollars
($600.00), the County Commissioners thereof shall pay to
the Clerk of the Court, for the use of said library, whatever
amount may be necessary to bring to Six Hundred Dollars
($600.00) in the aggregate the total amount to be paid to
said Library during that year under the provisions of this
section.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 385
(House Bill 713)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (a) (1) of Section 25 of Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Health",
sub-title "Vital Statistics", providing that the registrar
of vital statistics in Washington County shall be entitled
to receive the sum of $1.00 for each birth or death cer-
tificate issued.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (a) (1) of Section 25 of Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Health", sub-title "Vital Statistics", be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and to
read as follows:
25. (a)
(1) For each proper and correct certificate of birth or
death as provided in this sub-title, except those transmitted
