CHAPTER 353
(House Bill 578)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Washington Subur-
ban Sanitary Commission to sell, lease, transfer and con-
vey any of its real or personal property when such prop-
erty is not needed for the operation of its water, sewer-
age, drainage or refuse systems and to confirm any sales
or transfers which have heretofore been made by said
Commission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Washington Suburban Sanitary Com-
mission, a body corporate, created by Chapter 122 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1918, be
and is hereby authorized and empowered to sell, lease,
transfer, convey and dispose of any of its real or personal
property not considered by the said Commission necessary
for the operation of its water, sewerage, storm drainage
or refuse systems upon such terms and conditions as may
in the opinion of said Commission be advantageous.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any and all sales,
transfers or conveyances heretofore made by said Com-
mission are hereby ratified and confirmed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
