title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Civil Liability", said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (h) of said
section, to follow immediately after Sub-section (g)
thereof, allowing substituted service of process on the
Secretary of State as in the case of a non-resident, in
cases of residents involved in an automobile accident in
Maryland, who leave the State within 6 months of such
accident.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added
to Section 113 of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Civil Liability", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (h) of said section, to follow immediately after Sub-
section (g), and to read as follows:
113.
(h) (Residents Who Leave Maryland. ) A resident of
Maryland who is involved in an accident in this State, and
who removes himself to another state within six months of
such accident, THEREBY APPOINTS THE SECRETARY
OF STATE OF MARYLAND HIS AGENT AND may be
sued by substituted service of process on the Secretary of
State as in the case of a non-resident, as heretofore pro-
vided by this sub-title.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
