(e) (C) to direct the distribution of the Park Fund for or
towards the maintenance of the different parks and squares;
provided, that no part of such Park Fund shall be expended
for any purpose other than those allowed by this sub-title;
(f) (D) to charge and collect fees for admissions, serv-
ices and the use of facilities, and rentals for the use of prop-
erty controlled by it; provided, that no lease of such facili-
ties shall be made for a period of more than thirty days
(or for successive periods aggregating more than thirty
days) without the prior approval of the Mayor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis. All moneys realized through
the collection of such fees may be expended for purposes
allowed by this sub-title AND for no other purposes, pro-
vided, that all such moneys shall be accounted for TO the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis;
(g) (E) to adopt and enforce rules and regulations for
the management, use, government and preservation of
order with respect to all land, property, and activities under
its control. To carry out such regulations, fines not exclud-
ing One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) in any one case shall be
imposed for breaches of said rules and regulations, which
fines shall be enforced and collected as other fines are en-
forced and collected by law.
78C. The several members of the Board, and such em-
ployees as it may designate shall have within the parks
and on property under its control the power of conserva-
tors of the peace. The Police Commissioner of the City
of Annapolis is directed to detail at the request of the
Board such of the regular police force of the City as the
Board may deem necessary for the preservation of order
within said parks and squares, according to the regula-
tions of the Board.
78C. THE BOARD OF RECREATION AND PARKS
SHALL NOT CREATE ANY INDEBTEDNESS GREAT-
ER THAN THE AMOUNT APPROPRIATED IN THE
ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
FOR SAID BOARD.
78D. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis
are hereby authorized and empowered to levy a special
Park Fund tax, not exceeding five-hundredths of one per
centum (0. 05%) per annum, on each and every one hun-
dred dollars worth of assessable property, real and per-
sonal, subject to taxation by the Mayor and Aldermen of
the City of Annapolis.
