Property and to convey by deed said Farm and Property
so sold. The proceeds from said sale shall be paid over to
the County Treasurer of Kent County and shall be used for
the construction of a Kent County Health Center at
Chestertown.
There is hereby created a Building Commission to be
composed of:
Dr. F. G. Livingood, Chestertown—Chairman
H. Bernard Willson, Rock Hall
Albert P. Williams, Worton
Edgar D. Lusby, Kennedyville
Leonard Wilson, Millington
with power and authority to provide for the construction
of a County Health Center at Chestertown, the cost of
which shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Kent
County out of the proceeds of the sale of the County Alms-
house Farm and property, together with any Federal or
private [other] funds which may be made available for
this purpose. When completed, such Health Center prop-
erty shall become the property of the County Commis-
sioners. In the event of a vacancy in the membership of
said Commission, such vacancy shall be filled by the ap-
pointment of another person by the County Commissioners
of Kent County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
