ing, alterations or improvements, together with an estimate
of the total cost of same and secure a permit from the Board
of Assessments of Washington County. All permits shall

be issued free of cost and may be obtained by written

request or by personal application MAKE A REPORT OF
THE BUILDING INTENTIONS TO THE SUPERVISOR
OF ASSESSMENTS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.
SAID SUPERVISOR OF ASSESSMENTS SHALL AC-
KNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF SUCH REPORT IN WRIT-
ING ON A SUITABLE FORM, AND NO FEE SHALL
BE CHARGED THEREFOR. Any person or corporation
failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, be liable
for a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00).
or not less than Ten Dollars ($10. 00) for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 243
(House Bill 502)

AN ACT to repeal Section 113-21a and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Sections 113-21b of the Mont-
gomery County Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "Primary Elections—
Generally", so as to specifically repeal the provisions for
primary elections in the town of Rockville.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 113-21a of the Montgomery County
Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-
title "Primary Elections—Generally", be and it is hereby
repealed and that Section 13-21b of said Code be arid it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
