by taxation the amount of money required to meet the in-
terest and the portion of the principal payable in each year.
If said certificates of indebtedness are not issued in series,
any premiums realized above the par value of the whole
amount of said certificates of indebtedness shall constitute
a part of the sinking fund created for the purpose of paying
the loan herein authorized, and if said certificates of in-
debtedness are issued in series the net premiums resulting
from sale of the entire loan shall be placed to the credit of
any existing sinking funds established for the payment of
any loans of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 212
(House Bill 281)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Commissioners of
Cambridge to grant and convey a certain piece of prop-
erty to the Rescue Fire Company, Inc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That the Commissioners of Cambridge, a mu-
nicipal corporation of the State of Maryland, be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered to grant and convey
unto the Rescue Fire Company, Inc., a body corporate of
the State of Maryland, its successors and assigns, in fee
simple, all that lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and
being on the eastward side of Perrimore Street and the
southward side of Cedar Street as recently extended, in
the City of Cambridge in the Seventh or Cambridge Elec-
tion District of Dorchester County and more particularly
described in a deed dated September 11, 1952, conveying
said property by the Commissioners of Cambridge to the
Rescue Fire Company, Inc., and being also the property
described among the land records of Dorchester County,
Maryland, in Liber R. S. M. No. 76, Folio 36.
