SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 213
(House Bill 295)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 66C of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Nat-
ural Resources, " sub-title "Deer, " said new section to
be known as Section 195A and to follow immediately
after Section 195 of said Article, providing that any
property owner upon whose property a deer or deer are
causing damage to crops, may upon application to any
Game Warden, obtain a permit to kill not more than
one of said deer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Natural Resources, " sub-title "Deer, " said
new section to be known as Section 195A and to follow
immediately after Section 195 of said Article, and to read
as follows:
195A. Any property owner upon whose property a deer
or deer are damaging crops at any time of year, may make
application to any Game Warden for a permit to kill one,
but not more than one, of said deer. The said Game
Warden, upon sufficient proof that deer are damaging the
crops of the person so seeking a permit, shall issue a per-
mit to the property owner to kill one, but not more than
one, of said deer?, PROVIDED THAT NOT MORE THAN
ONE PERMIT SHALL BE ISSUED TO ANY ONE
PROPERTY OWNER IN ANY ONE YEAR.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
