County, and shall mature in not exceeding twenty-five
years from date of issue, and shall forever be exempt from
State, County and Municipal taxation. Said bonds shall
be signed by the President of the Commissioners, with the
Corporate Seal of Queen Anne's County attached thereto,
attested by the Treasurer of said County, and if coupon
bonds, the coupons thereon shall be signed by the Treas-
urer of Queen Anne's County, or a facsimile of his signa-
ture shall be stamped, printed or engraved thereon. If
bonds shall be issued, they shall be sold in accordance
with the provisions of Section 33 of Article 31 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are authorized,
under the authority of this Act, to borrow no more than
Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000. 00) in
the calendar year 1953 and no more than Two Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250, 000. 00) in the calendar year
1954. In 1955, any further borrowing under the authority
of this Act shall be in the discretion of the County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County, but in no event shall
the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County be
authorized to borrow any sum of money pursuant to this
Act after December 31, 1957.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the entire pro-
ceeds arising from the sale of any bonds issued under the
provisions of this Act, after the payment of costs of
engraving and all other incidental costs and expenses con-
nected with the issuance of the bonds shall be paid over
by the County Commissioners to the County Treasurer
and retained by him, subject to the order of the Queen
Anne's County Board of Education. The Queen Anne's
County Board of Education is authorized and empowered,
with the approval of the County Commissioners, to expend
the aforesaid funds, either alone or in connection with any
State or Federal funds as may be made available, to pro-
vide for the acquisition of a site or sites and the erection
of and equipment for a public school building or buildings
in Queen Anne's County, as it may deem necessary, or
for additions to or modifications of existing public schools
in said County. The plans and specifications for said school
building or buildings or additions of or modifications to
existing buildings shall be subject to the approval of the
State Superintendent of Schools as provided in Section 36
of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland and any
amendments thereto.
