(3). The Sheriff's office shall be open twenty-four hours
a day every day, including Sundays and legal holidays. At
least two deputies,
one A radio operator and one AND/OR
committing magistrate shall be on duty at all times.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 181
(Senate Bill 294)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
85 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County, " sub-
title "County Treasurer, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 292 of the Acts of 1941, providing that the
County Treasurer of Charles County shall be eligible to
succeed himself as Treasurer of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 85 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 292 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

85. At the general election on the Tuesday after the
first Monday in November, [1942] 1950, and every four
years thereafter, a County Treasurer shall be elected by the
qualified voters of Charles County, who shall hold office
for the term of four years from the fifteenth day of May
next following his election and until his successor shall
qualify, who shall be [ineligible] eligible for re-election
[until after an interval of one full term and until he shall
have fully settled up all business connected with his former
term].

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
