shall sit for this purpose they shall each go before a Justice
of the Peace for Allegany County and make oath in due
form of law that they will only permit the registration of
such persons as are entitled the provisions of this Act to
be registered as voters of the Town of Westernport.

656. It shall be the duty of the said registration officials,
in addition to registering voters, to examine and check
over the registration lists, and they shall make a list of
those who, in their opinion, may be disqualified voters
thereon, and they shall forthwith deliver said list to the
Clerk of the Town of Westernport, who shall forthwith
send written notice by mail to all persons whose names are
so given to him, notifying them to be and appear before the
officers of registration on the next succeeding revision day,
to show cause if any they have, why their names should
not be stricken off said list of qualified voters of the Town
of Westernport, and the said Clerk shall furnish to said
registration officers a statement under oath as to the send-
ing of said notices and the time thereof. For the purpose
of revising such registration list therefrom the names of
those no longer qualified to vote in said town, and also for
the purpose of registering those new or additional voters
who may apply, the said Registration Officers shall sit for
one additional day in each election year known as RE-
VISION DAY, to be selected by The Mayor and Commis-
sioners of Westernport, and which day shall not be less
than five days prior to any election in said town. Notice
of said Revision Day shall be given for the same time and
manner as for the previous registration sitting. It will
be the duty of said Registration Officers on said Revision
Day to strike from the list all those to whom notices have
been mailed by the Clerk as ordered, who do not appear
before them at that time and show cause why their names
should not be stricken off the list of qualified voters or who
have not otherwise shown their qualification as qualified
voters, provided such notice has been mailed by the Clerk
at least ten days before such Revision Day. At the time of
holding any election in said Town of Westernport, the
officers of registration shall attend with and have in charge
the registration lists of qualified voters, registered and
revised by them.

657. Whenever in the opinion of The Mayor and Com-
missioners of Westernport, a new general registration of
all of the qualified voters of said town is desirable, then the
advertisement and notice of registration provided for in
Section
17 655 shall state the fact that all qualified voters
