Forty-two Hundred Dollars ($4, 200). Beginning Decem-
ber 1, [1950] 1954, that one of the County Commissioners
who is designated as President of the Board of County
Commissioners shall receive an annual salary of [Seven
Thousand Dollars ($7, 000)] Nine Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($9, 500), and the other two County Commissioners
shall each receive an annual salary of [Fifty-five Hundred
Dollars ($5, 500)] Nine Thousand Dollars ($9, 000). All of
the said salaries shall be payable semi-monthly by the
Treasurer of said county. Said Board of County Commis-
sioners are required to meet for the transaction of public
business at their office at Towson on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week, and shall
be subject to call by the President of the Board at any addi-
tional time or times that he may deem their presence
necessary for the transaction of business, the discharge of
their official duties, or the exercise of any powers vested
in them by either local or general laws. The President of
the Board of County Commissioners, in addition to attend-
ing at the required meeting times of the Board hereinabove
set forth, shall be available as the executive head and
representative of the Board to the extent necessary to exer-
cise effectively the powers conferred upon him.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall apply to change the salaries of the present mem-
bers of the Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore
County as said salary was authorized by Chapter 717 of
the Acts of 1949.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
become effective June 1, 1953.
