of eminent domain in the Town of Kensington.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Chapter 110 of the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edi-
tion), title "Kensington", said new section to be known
as Section 110-29-A, to follow immediately after Section
110-29 of the Code (Section 658 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County, 1947 Edition), and to read
as follows:
110-29-A. The Town of Kensington shall have the power
to condemn any property, right or interest, belonging to
any person, persons, corporation or corporations for the
purpose of making public improvements. Public improve-
ments shall be construed to mean storm sewers, drains,
public buildings, rights-of-way, streets, alleys and other
public ways and sidewalks, parks, buildings and parking
lots. The manner of procedure in case of any condemnation
proceedings shall be that established in Article 3SA of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Emin-
ent Domain" unless otherwise provided in this Chapter.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 408)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
40(c) and 40(f) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", in-
creasing the salary of the State's Attorney of Charles
County and authorizing the appointment of a secretary
and an assistant state's attorney.
