the registration of voters in The City of Salisbury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 36 of Article VI of Chapter 534 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, (1951
Session), be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
36. Permanent Registration. There shall be a registra-
tion of the voters of Salisbury on the [last] fourth Monday
in March [and the first Monday in April], 1952, and on the
same [days] day in every year thereafter when a regular
city election is scheduled. If necessary for the performance
of registration or for the convenience of the citizens of
Salisbury, the Board of Supervisors of Elections may desig-
nate additional days as registration days. These provisions
for registration are for the purpose of keeping up to date
the system of permanent registration inaugurated by the
council in 1950. No person shall be allowed to vote at any
municipal election unless he or she shall have been regis-
tered at the time of the original registration or on some
succeeding registration day. The council is hereby author-
ized and empowered, by ordinance, to adopt and enforce all
rules and regulations necessary for establishing and main-
taining a system of permanent registration.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

gomery County Code (1950 Edition), title "Kensington",
said new section to be known as Section 110-29-A, to
follow immediately after Section 110-29 of the Code
(Section 658 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mont-
