teer fire company in St. Mary's County a sum not exceed-
ing $700. 00 per company [. ]; provided, however, that no
part of said sum shall be distributed to any fire company
to be formed in the future, which has not been approved
by the Southern Maryland Firemen's Association, and
which is not organized in such a manner as to comply with
the minimum requirements prescribed by said Association
for Volunteer Fire Departments.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 99
(House Bill 264)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 19 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County'', sub-title "St. Mary's Hospital", to be
known as Section 202½ and to follow immediately after
Section 202¼ of said Article, authorizing the County
Commissioners to appropriate a sum or sums not to
exceed a total of $10, 000, for the building fund of St.
Mary's Hospital, Inc.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 19 of
the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"St. Mary's County", sub-title "St. Mary's Hospital", to
be known as Section 202½ and to follow immediately after
Section 202¼ of said Article, and to read as follows:
202½. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
are hereby authorized and directed to make an appropria-
tion, or appropriations, not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars
($10, 000), in the aggregate, for the building fund of the
St. Mary's Hospital, Inc.
