To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election on Referen-
dum held on May 7, 1951, an Act known as Chapter 402 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1951 was submitted to
the voters of the Town of Riverdale, Prince George's County,
for their adoption or rejection, under the provisions of
Chapter 402 of the Acts of 1951, said Act being:

"An Act to fix the compensation of the Mayor and mem-
bers of the Common Council of the Town of River-
dale, after June 1, 1951".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 69 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 402 of the Acts of 1951
and 55 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act;
and a majority being cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter
402 of the Acts of 1951, it has therefore been ratified by the
voters of the Town of Riverdale.
