THEODORE R. MCKELDIN, GOVERNOR 1915

1951, Ch. 401—Hyattsville

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held on Mon-
day, June 25, 1951, an Act known as Chapter 401 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1951, was sub-
mitted to the voters of Hyattsville, Prince George County,
Maryland, for their adoption or rejection, under the pro-
vision of Chapter 401 of the Acts of 1951, said Act being:

"An Act to determine whether or not the residents of
the territory beginning at the point on the boundary
of the City of Hyattsville where the prolongation of
the west line of R. P. Evans' Addition to Hyattsville
intersects the center line of the Northwest Branch
and thence running with the meanderings of the
center line of said Northwest Branch in a northwest-
erly direction to the center line of the existing bridge
on Queens Chapel Road over said Branch; thence
running northeasterly with the center line of Queens
Chapel Road to the intersection of said center line
with the northerly line of Hamilton Street, the
boundary of Hyattsville; thence with said northerly
line of Hamilton Street easterly to the prolongation
of the west line of R. P. Evans' Addition to Hyatts-
ville; thence with the west line of said R. P. Evans'
Addition to Hyattsville to the point of beginning;
desired said territory to be annexed to the City of
Hyattsville".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 04 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 401 of the Acts of
1951 and 12 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Act; and a majority being cast against the adoption of
Chapter 401 of the Acts of 1951, it has therefore failed of
ratification.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my
(Secretary of Official Seal, at the City of Annapolis, this
State's Seal) 13 day of June, 1952.

JOHN R. REEVES,

Secretary of State.
