1914 CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA


1951, Ch. 367—Seat Pleasant

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE


To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:


I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held on the
1st Monday in June of 1951, an Act known as Chapter 367
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1951 was submitted
to the voters of the Town of Seat Pleasant, Prince George's
County, for their adoption or rejection, under the provisions
of Chapter 367 of the Acts of 1951, said Act being:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-
tions 1235 and 1237 and Sub-section 1241 (h) of the
Code of Prince George's County, sub-title "Seat
Pleasant" Sub-section 1241 (h) thereof having been
amended by Chapter 91 of the Acts of 1947, to add
two new sections to said Article and sub-title, said
new sections to be known as Sections 1234C and
1236A to follow respectively after Sections 1234B (as
enacted by Chapter 92 of the Acts of 1947) and 1236
thereof, changing the corporate boundaries of the
Town of Seat Pleasant, increasing the number of
councilmen from five to seven, and generally amend-
ing the Charter of the Town of Seat Pleasant".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election the following votes
were cast:

For Sections 1235-1236C-1237............ 23 votes

Against Sections 1235-1236C-1237...... 1 vote

For Section 1234C................................ 24 votes

Against Section 1234C.......................... 0 votes

For Section 1241.................................... 23 votes

Against Section 1241............................ 1 vote

A majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption
of said Chapter 367 of the Acts of 1951, the same has there-
fore been ratified by the voters of Seat Pleasant.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my
(Secretary of Official seal at the City of Annapolis, this
State's Seal) day of July, 1952.
