To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the Town of
Takoma Park, Prince George's County, Maryland, March
25, 1952, an Act known as Chapter 236 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1951, was submitted to the voters of
Takoma Park, for their adoption or rejection, under the
provisions of Chapter 236 of the Acts of 1951, said Act
being:

"An Act amending the Code of Public Local Laws for
Prince George's County (1943 Edition) to create the
Office of City Manager in Takoma Park".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 227 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 236 of the Acts of
1951, and 824 votes were cast against the adoption of the
said Act; and a majority being cast against the adoption of
Chapter 236 of the Acts of 1951, it has therefore failed of
ratification.
