To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held on June
6, 1951 in the Town of Friendsville, Garrett County, Mary-
land, an Act known as Chapter 216 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1951, was submitted to the voters of the
Town of Friendsville for their adoption or rejection, under
provisions of Chapter 216 of the Acts of 1951, said Act
being:
"An Act to repeal Sections 185-218, inclusive of Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Garrett County" sub-title
"Friendsville" and to enact in lieu thereof the new
charter for the Town of Friendsville".
AND I DO CERTIFY, that at said election 33 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 216 of the Acts
of 1951 and 196 votes were cast against the adoption of the
said Act; and a majority being cast against the adoption
thereof, it has therefor failed of ratification.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
