Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor and the State Roads Commission study the possi-
bilities of establishing round-trip rates at the same price
as one-way rates on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for motor-
ists making one complete round-trip across the Chesapeake
Bay Bridge within a twenty-four hour period, and author-
izing the establishment of such round-trip rates not later
than July 31, 1954; and be it further
Resolved, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby
instructed to send a copy of this Resolution to the Governor
and to the members of the State Roads Commission.

Senate Joint Resolution requesting the continuation of the
"Commission to study and re-evaluate the public school
system of this State", PARTICULARLY THE CIRCUM-
STANCES SURROUNDING THE RECENT OVEREX-
PENDITURE OF CURRENT AND BUILDING FUNDS
BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN CALVERT
COUNTY.
WHEREAS, This Commission was appointed during the
month of June, 1952, by the Governor of Maryland, jointly
with the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the
House of Delegates, in accordance with the terms of Reso-
lution 2 of the General Assembly of 1952; and
WHEREAS, This Commission, consisting of fifteen repre-
sentative and able citizens of this State under the competent
chairmanship of Dr. Harry J. Green, has through diligent
work and sound judgment presented a comprehensive re-
port on the relative responsibilities of the State and its
political sub-divisions for the present and future financing
of the public schools of the State of Maryland and the mini-
