of the State or of any sub-division thereof (except the
several courts) which is in any way interested in or con-
cerned with traffic accidents, shall report to the said
[Statistical] Central Accident Records Bureau all such
accidents of which he receives notice, within forty-eight
(48) hours of the receipt of such notice. Such reports
shall be made upon a standard form to be supplied by the
Superintendent of State Police; except that a special form
shall be supplied for the Department of Post Mortem
Examiners by said Superintendent.
44. Said [Statistical] Central Accident Records Bureau
shall analyze such reports and prepare statistical tables or
charts based thereon and shall summarize its findings each
month in written reports which shall be released to the
press and also sent to every reporting agency, and to any
other agency of the State or sub-division thereof which
applies therefor. Said monthly report of the Bureau shall
include statistics showing the number of traffic accidents
resulting in death, personal injury, or property damage,
and the causes of and circumstances surrounding such
accidents.
45. All accident records and files, furniture, maps, com-
puting machines and other equipment now being used by
the Accident Prevention Bureau of the Maryland State
Police shall be transferred to the [Statistical] Central
Accident Records Bureau and shall become the property
of said Bureau.
46. The Superintendent of State Police shall annually,
within thirty days following the close of the fiscal year of
the [Statistical] Central Accident Records Bureau, make
a full financial and operative report to the Governor, show-
ing the activities of the Bureau. The report shall describe
and recommend such measures as the Superintendent may
deem helpful for the more efficient administration of the
Bureau and towards the reduction of traffic collisions
within the State. Upon request of the Governor or upon
his own initiative said Superintendent shall also make
special reports covering the above subjects.
47. The Superintendent of State Police is directed to
make available to the executive officer of any agency of the
State or sub-division thereof, for the purpose of study,
such files, records, and reports as he has which relate to
traffic accidents or their causes; and the executive officers
of such agencies are directed to extend the same facilities
to the [Statistical] Central Accident Records Bureau. The
