diately after said Section 47 thereof, changing the Traffic
Collision Statistical Bureau in the Department of State
Police to be the Central Accident Records Bureau, re-
quiring the Department of Motor Vehicles to send to
said Bureau a copy of every accident report received by
it under certain provisions of the Financial Responsi-
bility Act and relating generally to the reporting, tabu-
lating and analysis of records of accidents by the said
Central Accident Records Bureau.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", said new section to be
known as Section 118A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 118 thereof and to be under the sub-title "Motor
Vehicle Financial Responsibility"; that Sections 42 to 47,
inclusive, of Article 88B of said Code, title "State Police",
sub-title "Statistical Bureau", be and they are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments; that the caption
of said sub-title "Statistical Bureau" be and it is hereby
changed so that the same shall be "Central Accident Rec-
ords Bureau", and that a new section be and it is hereby
added to said sub-title, said new section to be known as
Section 47A and to follow immediately after said Section
47 thereof, and all to read as follows:
118A. Within not more than ten days after receiving
the reports specified in Section 118 above, the Department
shall forward the same to the Department of Maryland
State Police, for processing and return as provided in Sec-
tion 47A of Article 88B of this Code.
[Statistical] Central Accident Records Bureau
42. There is hereby created within this Department a
[Traffic Collision Statistical] Central Accident Records
Bureau to be under the direction and supervision of the
Superintendent of State Police, who shall employ such
persons to perform the functions of said Bureau as may
be provided for in the Budget.
43. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, the Chairman
of the State Roads Commission, the Superintendent of the
State Police, the Police Commissioner for the City of Balti-
more, the Chief or executive officer of the several county
and municipal police departments, the Chairman of the
Commission heading the Department of Post Mortem
Examiners and the executive officer of every other agency,
