(House Bill 913)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
250 (k) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", and to add a new sub-section to said
section, said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(k-1) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (k)
thereof, raising the compensation of the Judges of the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 250 (k) of Article 93 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Testamen-
tary Law", sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that a new
sub-section be and it is hereby added to said section, said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (k-1) to follow
immediately after Sub-section (k) thereof, and to read as
follows:
250.
(k) Each of the Judges of the Orphans' Court for
[Baltimore City and for] Prince George's County shall re-
ceive the sum of Eighteen Dollars ($18. 00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said Court.
(k-1) Each of the Judges of the Orphans' Court for
Baltimore City shall receive the sum of Twenty-One Dol-
lars ($21. 00) for every day's attendance upon the sessions
of said Court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions
of this Act shall not apply to the present incumbents.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
