and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 741
(House Bill 829)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
324 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel
County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Fire Companies", and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 329 of said Code, as
said section was amended by Chapter 98 of the Acts of
1950, changing the title of the chauffeurs of the Volun-
teer Fire Companies of Anne Arundel County to the title
"enginemen", relating to the traveling expenses of the
Board of Fire Commissioners, providing for a physical
examination for persons seeking employment as engine-
men, relating to a salary tax in Anne Arundel County but
not in the City of Annapolis, relating to the salaries of
the enginemen and relief enginemen and the retirement
age for enginemen.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 324 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Fire Companies", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that
Section 329 of said Code, as said section was amended by
Chapter 98 of the Acts of 1950, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, and all to read as
follows:

324. A Board of Fire Commissioners consisting of three
(3) members shall be appointed by the County Commis-
