words "For Storm Water and Surface Drainage Improve-
ment Bonds LIMITATION OF DRAINAGE EXPENDI-
TURES" and a corresponding square or box or lever to
the right of and opposite the words "Against Storm Water
or Surface Drainage Improvement Bonds LIMITATION
OF DRAINAGE EXPENDITURES", so that the voters
shall be able to designate his or her decision for or against
said Act. If a majority of the votes cast in said election
shall be "For Storm Water or Surface Drainage Improve-
ment Bonds CHANGE IN METHOD OF DRAINAGE AS-
SESSMENT", then this Act shall immediately become
effective, but if a majority of the votes cast in said election
shall be "Against Storm Water or Surface Drainage Im-
provement Bonds CHANGE IN METHOD OF DRAINAGE
ASSESSMENT", then this Act shall be of no effect and
shall be null and void.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 781)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
289 of the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City (1949 Edition), being Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore City",
sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said section was amended
by Chapter 377 of the Acts of 1951, increasing fee RE-
LATING TO THE MINIMUM AND maximum salary
which may be paid to the Bailiffs of the Orphans' Court
of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 289 of the Charter and Public
Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition), being
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said
