THEODORE R. MCKELDIN, GOVERNOR 1555

Treasurer shall make up a budget each year showing the
estimated expenditures of his office for clerical help, sup-
plies and equipment, and other necessary office expenses,
subject to the approval of the County Commissioners. The
County Commissioners of Prince George's County are au-
thorized and directed to levy each year such sums of money
necessary to carry on the work of the Treasurer's office
, as approved by them in the budget. All monies payable to
the Treasurer of Prince George's County for the collection
of taxes and assessments including the Washington Su-
burban Sanitary Commission and the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission shall hereafter be
paid to the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County.

456. [The deputy] The Collector, the Disbursing Of-
ficer, the Assessor, the Transfer Officer, the Deputy Col-
lector, the Deputy Disbursing Officer
and clerks in the of-
fice of the County Treasurer shall furnish bond in such
sums as the Treasurer shall direct conditioned upon the
faithful performance of their duty and the County Com-
missioners shall pay the premium on said bond.

469A. (a) A Department of Finance for Prince George's
County is hereby established which shall be composed of
four bureaus to be known as the "Bureau of Collections"

the "Bureau of Disbursements" the "Bureau of Assess-
ments" and the "Bureau of Transfer. "

(b) Each Bureau shall continue to perform such duties
and acts as now prescribed by law, and this act in no way
lessens, or relieves them of any legal responsibilities, ob-
ligations, or duties now prescribed by law.

(c) Each Bureau shall be responsible only to the Treas-
urer of Prince George's County, and the Treasurer of
Prince George's County shall in turn be responsible for
their actions.

469B. (a) The Bureau of Collections shall be headed by
a Collector, who shall be appointed by the Treasurer of
Prince George's County, subject to the approval of a ma-
jority of the Board of County Commissioners. The Collec-
tor shall receive in full compensation for the discharge of
his official duties not less than Six Thousand Dollars ($6, -
000. 00) per year, which shall be payable semi-monthly, and
shall receive no other compensation for the discharge of
his official duties.
