the Clerk of Court conditioned for faithful performance
of the regulations prescribed herein. The Clerk of the
Circuit Court for said County shall remit the license fees
collected by him hereunder to the municipality in which
the licensee is located after deducting a fee of one dollar
($1. 00) for each license issued by him, in lieu of com-
mission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 681
(House Bill 363)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
335 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-
title "Graveyard Desecration", providing that monu-
ments and gravestones may be removed from an aban-
doned cemetery if they are placed elsewhere in a perma-
nent cemetery.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 335 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Graveyard Desecration", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

335. Any person or persons, his, her or their aiders or
abettors, who shall wilfully destroy, mutilate, deface, injure
or remove any tomb, monument, gravestone or other struc-
ture placed in any cemetery, or any building, wall, fence,
railing or other work, for the use, protection or ornament
of any public or private cemetery in this State, or shall
wilfully destroy, cut, break or remove any tree, plant or
shrub within its limits, or who shall be guilty of indecent
or disorderly conduct within said limits shall be guilty of
